NightBuddy tints your screen locally. We do not run our own servers for this app.

Your overlay preferences (presets, schedule, premium status) are saved on your device only.
Third-parties
Ads and in-app purchases are provided by Google (AdMob, Play Billing) and follow their data policies.
Your control
You can reset preferences by clearing app data, disable ads via premium, and uninstall at any time.
Data We Handle
- On-device settings: Overlay temperature, opacity, brightness, schedules, and premium flag are stored locally in app storage.
- Purchase status: Play Billing tracks purchases; we store a local flag to know if premium is unlocked.
- Ads diagnostics: AdMob may collect device and usage data per Google’s policies to deliver and measure ads.
We do not collect or store personal identifiers on our own servers.
How We Use Data
- Provide the overlay: Apply your saved tint and schedule.
- Purchases: Validate premium entitlements through Play Billing.
- Ads: Serve banner/interstitial ads when premium is not unlocked.
Third-Party Services
- Google Play Billing: Manages in-app purchases and receipts.
- Google AdMob: Provides ads; see Google Privacy Policy for details.
Permissions
- Overlay (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): Required to draw the blue light filter on top of your screen.
- Foreground Service: Keeps the filter running with a notification.
- Post Notifications: Used for reminders and the overlay toggle notification.
- Boot Completed: Optionally reminds you to re-enable the filter after reboot if you turn that on.
Retention & Control
- Reset: Clear app data to remove stored preferences and the premium flag.
- Opt out of ads: Purchase premium inside the app.
- Uninstall: Removes the app and its local data.
Children
NightBuddy is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided data, please contact us to remove it.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
